Overview
Before there was Arabella’s Voice Studio, there were just a lot of ideas—each living under different names: Arabella’s Studio, Home Productions, Campfire, and more.
There were so many ideas that my business advisors urged me to pick just one and run with it. They weren’t wrong—and so I did. Arabella’s Voice Studio was born. But I still tinkered with side projects, even if they were only half-baked at the time. Funnily enough, many of these now live under our Encore Series and have become part of the well-rounded musicianship we now share with students. They each have their own avatars—and they fit seamlessly into our bigger company mission. My biggest discovery was that it was better to integrate ideas into the larger puzzle than leave a bunch of unfinished pieces scattered around. Back then, though, they were just things I was stubborn about.
We named this brand resource—initially shared only with our teachers as just a Canva presentation—AFlat Music Studios. We’ve since slightly adapted it to share with all of you! The resource was created to explain the values our company holds and the types of students we welcome into our space. Even though the resource is now shared more widely, the name remains personal to me. It comes from my initials, Ab, chosen because my personal evolution mirrored the growth of the business. After all, you can’t skip your own evolution.

We started with one initial brand: Arabella’s Voice Studio. Really two- but we’re still trying to get together funding for Campfire. Eventually, our side projects came together into the encore series which are additional addons to the private lesson structure that we are known for.

The AVS Musicians' Joruney
It's More than Just Packaging, it's the product we promise.
At AVS, we don’t follow a fixed curriculum — instead, we offer fully customizable private lessons along with accessible, affordable materials presented through our Encore Series. Together, these form our Circle of Well-Rounded Musicians. Our circle weaves together elements from each Encore Series, inspiring singers to explore and deepen their unique musical paths. We’ve even aligned our teacher development materials with logos from each perspective bucket, reflecting our belief that teachers, too, are lifelong learners and artists.

Arabella's Voice Studio provides students a flexible space to expand their repertoire of musical skills. The curriculum is flexible based on student desires, which I find super helpful given that many music teachers refuse to stray from a set curriculum or tailor their curriculum to students. I also really like how this music school allows for public playing opportunities. Arabella regularly schedules students to jam in an open mic night setting with fellow students. This gives real world experience of performing in front of people as well as within a band! Lessons can be virtual or in person, and the teachers are always personable. You'll feel respected here. I've been a musical person all my life, so when I decided to take voice lessons, I wanted to learn more about music. Arabella is an excellent teacher, combining technique with theory, so you understand the science behind how music can be created. She also helps guide you in style and performance. About Arabella
I always pushed back when people told me I had to decide whether AVS would be a side hustle or my main gig. To me, we don’t have to live in a black-and-white world when the universe is so full of color.
The one thing I was absolutely certain of was that, whatever I did, I wanted to serve people to the best of my ability—and I’m not an artist who shies away from the business side.
These sketches were a way to gain absolute clarity on how to run our studio in a way that truly values art while also sustaining it financially. I believe the best marketing is having a good product, and the best way to know if you have a good product is by knowing who you are serving.
