Statement of Truth(s).

Truth of the Moment

For as long as anyone can remember, singing lessons or voice coaches have been performance based only. Creating a culture or assumption that people either “have it” or “don’t have it” when it comes to singing. Which makes the majority of consumers just feel like they “don’t have it.”

Truth of the Audience

unaware that there is more to singing than just God-given talents. The audience has this assumption that you either “have it” or “you don’t have it” when it comes to singing. They are too insecure about their “singing” to even want to learn more on HOW to sing properly. They still use PERFORMANCE to judge themselves and are not aware of the anatomy behind your voice to create a better singing voice.

Meet the Band

Vocal Voyager
18-28yrs

Motto: “I'm a jack of all tones."

The Vocal Voyager is a modern-day vocal renaissance person—an adventurous, curious, and passionate explorer of the voice. They’re not satisfied with a typical voice lesson; they crave deeper, more dynamic engagement. While they turn to the voice as a grounding force, they often move fluidly between related topics such as self-accompaniment, music theory, and beyond. With a solid foundation in vocal technique and performance, this avatar embraces the full spectrum of vocal artistry, eagerly diving into fringe concepts and uncharted territories of vocal expression.

Lunchtime Learner

Motto: “There’s got to be a smarter way to fit this in.”
The lunchtime learner deeply values personal growth but often feels pulled in too many directions. They’re not looking for a cirriculum that takes forever — they’re looking for something that works and gets them playing efficiently. You often hear them say, “I’ve got 60 minutes. Let’s make them count.”

The Hobbyist

The Hobbyist is a music enthusiast who plays purely for the love of it. They’re not chasing a record deal or striving for perfection—they’re here because music brings them joy, connection, and a sense of personal fulfillment.

For the Hobbyist, progress is measured in smiles, singalongs, and shared moments. They’re drawn to the fun, low-pressure side of music and love the idea of our karaoke nights, open mics, and community-first programming.

Vocal Amplifier
55-75yrs old

Vocal Amplifiers are the parents, teachers, and mentors who help young people find power in their voice. With patience and encouragement, they create safe spaces for self-expression—turning hesitation into confidence, quiet words into strong convictions. Their support doesn’t just amplify voices; it helps shape futures.

Child Virtuoso
5-10yrs

The Child Virtuoso is a young musician brimming with curiosity and potential, seeing the voice as just the beginning of their musical journey. They nurture their passion for singing while eagerly exploring the broader world of music. While 90% of our child vocal students grow into lifelong singers, the other 10% discover a deep passion for other instruments, and we help guide them to other teachers and studios we trust—an achievement we value just as much!

While maybe not old enough to articulate, the child virtuoso intrinsically believe the voice is a natural gateway to endless musical possibilities and discoveries.

How we Deliver on Promise: Find Your Voice. Whoever You Are. Wherever You Are.

The Hub and Spoke Studio Model.

I had a few realizations. One, from taking lessons myself in the Boston area, New York area, and other major cities, I knew that. Studios often spent more on the studio itself, in the real estate, than on the students and curriculum, which was the focus to begin with. Two, I knew our students cared more about the convenience of popping into a secure, safe, and inspired location, rather than a central spot. Three, all any student or singer wanted to do was to express and communicate efficiently and effectively for them. So that should be the focus. And from there, our community first spaces and programs were born. We focus on small practice rooms throughout the Boston area, rather than one central location, so that our students have the flexibility to go wherever they are. To build their competencies and confidence. So that when they go to our community events, whether that be performing in this vibrant city or meetups with like-minded people, they feel good and ready to go so that they can put their best voice forward. https://aflatmusicstudios.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Brand-Statement.pdf
